Maria Koltsova

Author, Scholar, and Activist

Maria is a communications expert, scholar, and human rights activist focused on civic education. With master's degrees in journalism and Human Rights and Democratisation from the Center for European Studies, she’s well-versed in her field. After a year in Sweden volunteering with the European Solidarity Corps, she led a major project on bride kidnapping in Central Asia. Maria’s vision for education is that it should be thoughtful, impactful, and engaging. She’s currently learning Spanish with flashcards and dreams of relocating to the Mediterranean coast.
